the situation:
You’re an academic (or, in the contemporary market, a para-academic working to participate in a field you can’t leave behind). You’ve been writing an article, book, review, or other piece of scholarly and considered writing. You’ve maybe sent it to friends and colleagues for their initial thoughts-but the feedback you’ve gotten has been inconsistent, contradictory, or overwhelming.
Maybe you haven’t gotten any feedback, or you’ve been too caught up to send the piece at all.
Maybe you know the piece is there to be written, but you haven’t even started.
how I can help:
I want to treat your problem piece like its a seminar paper or dissertation chapter you’re workshopping with a dedicated, mutually invested reader. As a post-Ph.D. scholar myself, I was lucky enough to benefit from an amazing writing community–in addition to teaching and tutoring writing for over a decade. I want to bring that wealth of specialized experience to your work and offer a dedicated, collaborative, and focused editorial session that is focused on your goals, your timeline, and (most importantly) your work.

I graduated with my Ph.D. in English from Indiana University in 2026. My graduate minor is in Critical Theory, and I have also worked extensively in IU’s Cultural Studies Program. My research specializations are in contemporary literary, cultural, and aesthetic theory; feminist science studies; trans and queer studies, especially in the psychoanalytic (rather than sociological) tradition; science and speculative fiction criticism; the early novel and its formal criticism (with a focus especially on the eighteenth century).
